Sunday June 8th Crystal Lake Rowing Club will be participating in US Rowing?s national learn to row day. As one of the coaches at CLRC I will be helping with this event. We will be running a clinic from 1:00 to 6:00 PM at Main Beach. We are expecting a large turnout of people wanting to give rowing a try, so come meet other interested people like yourself. This event is open to anyone and everyone. The rowing club does not charge a fee but if you are not a Crystal Lake resident there will be a fee to enter Main beach.

    • “ The weather looked iffy at first but we started teaching small groups of people on the ergs at the Indoor Rowing Center in the Dole Mansion. By the time the first group was done on the Ergs the weather was clearing up and the sun came out and we moved them to the boats. Several more groups of new rowers followed. All in all I think we got 27 new people in the boats and out rowing between 1 and 6 o'clock. By about 8pm the next wave of storms rolled through. ”
